PREVIEW FOR RE: PLAY, A PERFORMANCE INSPIRED BY TRADITIONAL INDIAN GAME
Re:play, a performance inspired by traditional Indian games, is an experience of the sounds, rhythms, patterns, structures, colours and narratives that traditional Indian games lend themselves to. This 80-minute journey evokes themes of mythology and contemporary events in Indian history, as well as Indian folklore, and asks the audience to be present in unique ways. The audience becomes part of the performance as well.
The event is at Alliance Francaise Hyderabad, at Banjara Hills. It is being performed by Ujwal Nair and Supraja Narayanaswamy.
The performance was devised by Visual Respiration and directed by Aruna Ganesh Ram. Script support is by Manasi Subramaniam, production support by Anjana Dhanavanthan and costume support by Manvi Gandotra Style Inked.
