Here's a chance for engineering students to prove their programming and technical skills, much needed in these tough times of the recession. Ace Engineering College is hosting a National Level Technical Contest titled 'Race 2009' on 12th September. The event will be on from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
The day features some technical competitions, and will be inaugurated at 10am by Praveen (Cyber Motion techie) followed by the Trace IT programming Contest from 11am to 1pm.
Trace IT is a programming contest with a team of 2 students (from the same college). The theme will be announed 30 minutes before the event, and participants must use C, C++, or Java for development, within 2 hours. Participants will be split into 3 groups, depending upon their language chosen. 2 teams will be finalized for the prizes.
From 11:30am to 1pm, there is a Robo Show titled Robotrix, a robot-designing contest. The team size is 3 (from the same college). Students can retain their source code and project circuit designs for the confirmation of copyright.
LAN Gaming (11:30am to 3:30pm) and Softronix (2pm to 3:30pm), a contest fpr projects in Electronics & Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering are other events. Creative minds can head to the innovative idea contest titled LogiKING, from 2pm to 3:30pm.
The valedictory function, along with prize distribution, will be held at 3:30pm. The 1st prize for each event is Rs. 5,000, and the 2nd prize is Rs. 3,000.
Registration for all events will be done at the venue on day of the festival. Registration fee for each event is Rs. 100.
