If your tryst with Bengali has ended with Babu Moshai and Rasgullas, then you have some major sprucing up to do. And here's Nandikar and the Hyderabad Bangali Samiti helping you do so.
Run by Rudraprasad Sengupta, Nandikar is an amateur theater troupe that hails from Kolkatta and has been entertaining people since the '60s. It has staged plays all over the country and has also targetted foreign locales. The itinerary read as this:
Ay Shahar Ay Samay - 9th March, 2004:
In English this means This City This Time. This play is a musical about a modern city. It captures the multiple facets of the city in a dramatic montage.
Sesh Sakhat Kaar - 10th March, 2004: This is based on a Russian play about a heart surgeon who is extremely picky in performing his surgeries. He operates only on people who are guaranteed to survive. Our question is, how would he know until the operation is complete?
