There's nothing pinapple-ey, or even legal about this Pineapple Express. Weed kills, in more ways than one, apparently.
Creaking Projectors is screening the movie "The Pineapple Express" at Syn, Taj Deccan, on 28th November.
The film was directed by David Gordon Green, and stars Seth Rogen, James Franco and Danny McBride.
The flick revolves around Dale Denton, who visits his dealer Saul Silver to purchase weed, specifically a rare new strain called Pineapple Express.
When Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city's most dangerous drug lord, he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene. Dale now visits Saul to find out if the weed is so rare that it can be traced back to him, and Saul tells him that it is. As Dale and Saul run for their lives, the villains try to figure out the fastest way to kill them both.
The film has been nominated for Golden Globe Awards in "Best Performance By An Actor" category, and it has won the Breakthrough Artist Award and the BMI Film Music Award.
