Pandit Jasraj, whose annual concerts in the city are a treat for enthusiasts,
has firm roots in Hyderabad, where his journey into music began. This year's sangeet
samaroh however, will be special, in that this is Pandit Jasraj's tribute
to his father Pandit Motiram, and brother Pandit Maniram.
The four-day long event will also feature some of the world's finest musicians
and performers, like Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Padma Subramanyam and L Subramaniam.
Organised by his daughter Durga Jasraj, Golden Voice, Golden Years will
also feature child prodigy Rimpa Siva, a tabla soloist, and the thumri-and-keyboard
threesome of Ankita Joshi, Pandit Pahankar and Abhijeet Pohankar. Pandit Jasraj
will perform his own compositions on the final day of the event.
