The much awaited monsoons have reluctantly arrived in the city finally, and to celebrate the fact, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is organizing a week-long Monsoon Masti Festival. And why celebrate the monsoons at the airport? Because they're arriving by flight, obviously! The festival is on at the passenger terminal building, from 13th to 19th July 2009.
The airport had organized a shopping festival earlier this year, to which more than 30,000 coupons were received for the lucky draw. This time too, the celebration involves travellers, and meeters and greeters of the travellers, and all other visitors to the airport. Many activities and contests are chalked out for each day, and loads of prizes will be announced to the winning participants.
During the celebrations, an MC will interact with the audience that includes all visitors at the airport, to engage them in little activities, for example, picking up a lucky number from a bag and answering a simple question. The winners will be given food and beverage coupons, which can be redeemed at the airport's outlets. Everyday, there will be 50 lucky people who will win these coupons, which are being sponsored by McDonalds, Café Coffee Day, Baskin Robins, Landmark, and Dabur’s NewU.
