The Rural Development Foundation (RDF), a non-profit NGO, is organising a mega fashion show at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, this Sunday. The show is being organised to help raise funds for the execution of various projects undertaken by the RDF.
Some of the best models of the country like Miss India Sarah Jane, Carol Gracias, Candice Pinto, Priya Reddy, Rachel, Lisa Hayden, Sonal Rawat, Kanwaljit and Sayed Zulfi will walk the ramp sporting the hot outfits designed by Upasana Kamineni. The catwalk is being choreographed by Achala Sachdev. Tollywood actress Shriya, and national archers and Arjuna Awardees Dola Banerjee and Tarundeep Roy, are the special guests of the show.
The Rural Development Foundation (RDF) was formed on 10th April 1996, for the upliftment of rural life standards. They realised that poverty is the worst malady and that the remedy was education, healthcare and social development. Two poor villages in backward areas of Warangal and Medak districts of Andhra Pradesh were selected to initiate the change.
Kalleda Rural School in Warangal district and Matendla Rural School in Medak district were set up with more than a thousand poor students studying there now. Regular primary health camps, eco-conservational workshops, telecommunication facilities and livelihood schemes are also undertaken by the RDF.
The entry to the catwalk is only by invitations. Please contact the Rural Development Foundation at 2331-0190/6666-7646 for further details.
