The Hyderabad Film Club, in association with the Alliance Francaise Of Hyderabad, is screening a French film, Love Songs (Les Chansons D'Amour), at Sarathi Studios in Ameerpet, on the 28th of July. Directed by Christophe Honore, the film runs for 100 minutes, and stars Louis Garrel, Ludivine Sagnier, Chiara Mastroianni and Clotilde Hesme.
Les Chansons D’Amour is a love triangle involving Ismaël (Louis Garrel), a young man who works as a journalist in a small Parisian periodical, his girlfriend, Julie (Ludivine Sagnier), and his colleague, Alice (Clotilde Hesme). The situation starts to become stressful, and not least because of the difficulty of 3 people having to share a bed.
Julie has misgivings about the situation, but when it does come to an end, it does so tragically. Unable to pull himself together, lost, and unable to settle down in the apartment they all once shared together, Ismaël walks the streets of Paris alone. He has casual sexual encounters, but is unable to overcome the emptiness within him, and resists the advances of a young man Erwann (Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet) who might just be able to bring him back to life.
Entry is allowed for members only. Please contact the Hyderabad Film Club at 2373-0841 for further details.
