Treasure House is conducting a workshop on 'Let's Get To The Bottom Of It' for children in the age group of 6-9 years, from 17th to 23rd May, at its campus on Road No. 63, Jubilee Hills. The workshop will be mentored by Anuprita, and is from 10:30am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday.
This workshop provides children with hands on learning experiences that are designed towards developing a better understanding of the classroom theory, with practical applications to our lives and the environment. The underlying structure of each theme workshop is based on the principles of cognitive development, to stimulate the skills of observing, questioning and reasoning, in the child.
Each day, the theme will involve fragmenting what makes up the whole. Examples are harnessing wind energy, paper, functions of the human body, fabric and clothes, and the food chains.
Anuprita, a child psychologist, has been working on the Concept Development Program for children for a number of years now. She has a double masters degree in Medical & Psychiatric Social Work from TISS, and in Clinical Psychology from Pune University.
The registration charges are Rs. 1,700 for members and Rs. 2,000 for non-members. Please contact Treasure House at 2355-0118 for further details.
