Le Couloir is the story of man, who is in a very serious financial predicament and finds himsef thrust into a job - of the odd kind.
The film starts off with a young couple who's financial situation is deplorable. The man is jobless, and spends his days wandering the streets with very little money. Eventually, one day, he faints in front of a shop.
The shop owner, an old man, offers him a job. All he has to do, is guard a door to a small room at the back of a corridor, which supposedly contains objects of value, sought after thieves.
As the movie progresses, we learn that the very existence of these "thieves" becomes more and more dubious.
The movie is directed by Jean-Loup Felicioli & Alain Gagnol. Jean-Loup Felicioli is an animator, director, graphic and clay artist and has won numerous awards for his dozens of graphic and clay animations, many of which were co-directed by Alain Gagnol.
Alain Gagnol has a University degree in Graphic Arts and has studied illustration, cartoon and animation at the école Émile Cohl in Lyon. He has worked on numerous films, both writing and directing, and has also written a number of novels.
