À La Petite Semaine, literally transalating to "One Short Week", is the story of Jacques and his immoral friends. Having led the life of a gangster and spending years behind bars, Jacques has finally returned home, tired and worn out. He's decided to give up the mobster life, as the cushy life of a mafioso no longer appeals to him.
However, along with him, everything he knew has also changed, including the woman he used to date - she's now with someone else. Jacques catches up with his friends, who are in as despicable a condition as he is. However, after the reunion, all his friends can think of is how to make another score to improve their deplorable financial condition.
Does Jacques return to his iniquitous ways? Or does he turn the table, and decide to "go good" on his friends? Director, Sam Karmann, attempts to depict the story with a sense of melancholy, but he also mentions that it isn't without it's comical moments.
