PREVIEW FOR KOREAN FILM CHIL-SOO AND MAN-SOO SCREENING
Chil-Soo is the son of a houseboy who lives on the hope that his sister might
send him an invitation some day to come to America. He is a cheerful young man
with a talent for art. One day he quits his job at a theater and joins Man-Soo
to assist him at his work. Man-Soo has his own problems. His father is serving
a long jail sentence, and that has not made life any easier for him, which results
in his letting off steam by getting drunk and abusive.
However, the two make a good pair and work well together. Their friendship grows, and one day after they have finished their work on an advertisement billboard, they watch the sun go down on the city and really feel on the top of the world. They shout and scream in sheer joy, but their performance is taken to be a suicide attempt by the police.
