Konkani cuisine is an eclectic blend of the flavors of its neigbouring regions, that include Karnataka, Maharashtra and Goa, and if you want to have a taste of food that is both local and exotic, the ongoing Konkani food festival at Ohri's Havmor is the place to be. The festival started 27th August and is on till 5th September.
The festival showcases the unique food styles of the coastal Konkan region. Though the proximity to the sea blends in many sea-food items into the cuisine, vegetarians need not despair. The Konkani cuisine has exclusive vegetarian fare that is relished by the Konkan Saraswat Brahmins of the region.
You can dig into some delectable Prawn Malchow and Chicken Kolhapuri, and the tangy taste of the Kokum Kadhi will haunt your taste buds for a long time.
Buffet is priced at Rs. 315 and is available for both lunch (12:30pm - 3pm) and dinner (7:30pm-11pm).
