The banquet from the land of coconuts, coconuts and coconuts, is now open. If the thought of eating so much food, all at once is intimidating you, be glad you didn't have to cook it. Aditya Park Inn is serving Kerala delights from the 2nd to the 13th September, for dinner, from 7:30pm to 11:30pm everyday. You can now enjoy authentic Kerala food at affordable prices.

'Sadhya' means banquet in Malayalam, and is a big feast associated with a special occasion, such as a marriage, birthday, or childbirth. A Sadhya is traditionally a vegetarian meal served on a plantain or banana leaf, and can have upto 24 dishes served in it.

Chef Bijaimon from Ahmedabad has been specially invited to dish out some Kerala favourites. The menu is a lavish feast, with varieties of soups, salads and chutneys each day. The buffet includes Thakkali Soup, Chemeen Soup and Lemon Soup, with assorted vegetarian salads of 6 types.

Kerala cuisine is incomplete without Pachadi, a vegetable side dish for rice, so Bijai is dishing out some with different ingredients everyday - like Vendakayya Pachadi, Pineapple Pachadi, Vazhuthenanga Pachadi are some you may want to sample. The famous Fried Kerala Appalam is also present on the menu, along with Tapioca Wafers (savoury) and Shakara Upperi (sweet).

The main course offers Karimeen Varthathu (dry fish), Mundakayyam Avoli Kari (fish curry), Mutta Kozhambu (egg), Kozhi Varuval (dry chicken), Atteraichi Vartharaicha Kari (mutton) and Alapuzha Chemeen Biriyani (non-vegetarian biryani). Vegetarian snacks include Kadala Pathiri, Mixed Veg Thoran, Chena Melakuveratti and Padvalanga Erusseri. Then, there's Pineapple Avial (gravy), Pavakkai Theeyal (gravy), Vazhakkai Kalan, Urulaikizhangu Stew, Kadala Kari (dal) and Ulli Sambar to go with the Kerala staples - Pachari Chor (steamed rice) and Kuthari Chor (red rice).

Desserts offered are an assortment of several Indian cuisines, with Parippu Pradhaman, Godhambu Payasam, Nei Halwa, Kalakand (sugar free), Zaq-E-Shahi and Khova Burfi, and even bakery desserts like Chocolate Brownie and Strawberry Cheese Cake along with cut fruits and ice-cream.

This extravaganza is priced at Rs. 375 (taxes extra). Please contact 6678-8888 or 92461-11213 for further details.
