Let's introduce to you a person who's written 80 books of the following nature:
poetry, fiction (novels), drama, essay, children's literature, palmistry, astrology
and law. He's also written 2 full-length plays, 12 one-act plays, 20 radio plays
and 350 short stories. And before we forget, he's been a stage and radio actor
for 30 years. Isn't that cool? That's Pothukuri Sambasiva Rao for you.
Rao has been in the literary field for over 55 years now! Awarded the Kala Prapoorna
title by the Andhra University with an honorary doctorate, Rao has several other
honors to his credit. His novels Udaya Kiranalu and Anveshana both won awards
- the former was even translated to Rusian, while the latter was prescribed as
the non-detailed text for under-graduate students by the Madras University. He
was one of the pioneers of the World Telugu Conference and the All India First
Telugu Writers Conference.
This event sees the felicitation of Rao, and will be followed by a kavi sammelanam,
with poets like Mukthevi Bharathi, G V Subramaniam, Kasireddy Venkat Reddy, Sarat
