Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj is organising the 37th Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh, from 27th to 30th November, at the Chowmahalla Palace. This year, 10 artistes, including upcoming as well as senior performers, will perform during the 4-day festival. Young Hindustani vocalist Tripti Mukherjee will start the 2nd day of the festival with some devotional and classical compositions.

Pandita Tripti Mukherjee has been a disciple of Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj for almost 15 years. Before Pt. Jasraj, she learnt under various gurus, including Bharatikar Choudhary, Sunil Das, Prasun Bannerjee and Sipra Bose. She is a Grade-A artiste of the All India Radio and Doordarshan.

Tripti has performed at several music festivals, popular among them being the annual Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh in Hyderabad, Hari Vallabh Sangeet Samaroh in Jalandhar, the Sawai Gandharva Music Festival in Pune and the Dover Lane Music Festival in Kolkata. Besides these, she has toured several cities in India and the world. Her concerts have taken place at Carnegie Hall (New York), Tagore Center (Berlin), Bahrain Arts Performing Center, and Queen Elizabeth Hall (London), among others. In 2007, she performed at the White House on the occasion of Diwali, the only Indian festival celebrated at the White House. Her major awards include the Amir Khan Memorial Award and the Pandit Jasraj Gaurav Puraskar.

She started an institution in the name of her guru - the Pandit Jasraj Institute for Music Research, Artistry and Appreciation - The Mewati Gurukul, in New Jersey.
