The first edition of The Hindu Music Festival
in Hyderabad will be held from 10th to 14th November, at the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. The 4-day festival will be a treat for lovers of fusion and filmi music, ghazals and spiritual music.
Professional singers Srinivas, Chinmayi, Haricharan & Shweta Mohan will weave retro magic, featuring hits down the ages till the 1980s, on 14th November. If 102.8 FM bothers you with its commercials, head here to reminisce, reminisce, reminisce. It's an evening of retro that goes beyond the beaten-to-death '70s.
A 15-member orchestra with artistes from Chennai and Kerala will accompany the singers. The singers will be singing some hit numbers sung by K L Saigal, Talat Mahmood, Hemant Kumar, Geeta Dutt, Suraiya, Noor Jehan, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh, and Mohammed Rafi, and compositions of musicians such as S D Burman, Madan Mohan, Naushad, Salil Chowdhury, Shankar-Jaikishan and R D Burman.

Tickets are priced at Rs. 1,000, Rs. 750, Rs. 500 & Rs. 250 per head. Season passes are available for Rs. 3,500, Rs. 2,500 and Rs. 1,500 per head.
