Not much unlike the kiss, Marion Vernoux’s flick is intimately French.
The Hyderabad Film Club, in collaboration with Alliance Francaise Of Hyderabad, is presenting the screening of the movie, Hell Of A Day, on the 20th of September. Directed by Marion Vernoux, this 92-minute film is about a single day in the lives of 5 ordinary people.
The story is set in Paris and Vitry, and revolves around Marie, Hortense, Luis, Jane and Maurice, who, one day discover hidden meanings in their pasts and their future. Upon meeting with each other, they serendipitously influence their destinies.
The movie released in 2001 starred Karin Viard, Helen Fillieres, Victor Lanoux and Jane Birkin. It has been screened in numerous film festivals across the globe, including at Venice (2001), Toronto (2001), Stockholm (2002), Melbourne (2002) and Athens (2002).
Marion Vernoux, was born in 1966, and has done a stint as an actress, and also worked as a scriptwriter and a lyricist. She started directing with 'Pieve Qui Voule' in 1991, for television. Her other movies include Nobody Loves Me (1994), Love Etc. (1996), Empty Days (1999) and Drugs! (2000).
