7-year-old Sasha is looking for her lost puppy named Halo through the terrifying streets of Bombay. We are guided through the tale by an orthodox nun, a nosey press reporter and a Donahue kid with a video camera. The trio follows Sasha, and her 4-year-old colleague Anil, from the home of a paranoid dog-catcher to a neurotic newspaper editor, a specialized dog-smuggler, a psychotic commissioner of police, and to top the list, a colourful gang of street urchins. The harrowing chase is compounded by Sasha's criminal lawyer father who refuses to lie even when not under oath, a gluttonous servant who is forever hungry and a cousin teenager who is perpetually lovesick. The City of Bombay spins out of control as the hilarious film zooms to a knuckle-chewing climax.
