Gallery Space is organizing a group show of paintings and sculptures by Delhi based artists including Nusrat Khan, Dilawar Khan, Daniel Joseph, Hemant Rao, Harish Ojha, Md. Aloptogin, Rajender Kumar and Sultan Abbasi. The exhibition is on until 8th November.
Nusrat Khan was born in 1976 in Nainital, and received her bachelor degree in Art from Nainital University. Earlier working on realistic landscapes, she currently creates art works with oil paints, and paints landscapes with a slight distortion.
Dilawar Khan, was born in 1973, and received his fine art professional bachelor degree from the Delhi college of art and conservation and restoration of art works from the National Museum, New Delhi. His works figurative and semi abstract. He was awarded by S K P for the Best Water Colour in 1996 and for Acrylic in 2008 by S K P, New Delhi.
Daniel Joseph was born in 1971 in New Delhi. A bachelor degree in paintings from Delhi College of art with first division in the year 1996, as a freelance with involvement in staging exhibition and related activates. He use the architectural linearity in Humorous fashion by using it face and body, his life linear and drab like the edifices that we occupy, he use of color his eminently impressive he has many events and group shows participation to his credit. He has quiet many solo Shows – ode to life 2008 as his latest one and recipient of many awards, as camel art foundation awards in the year 2006 and euro tour in 2007. IFACS award New Delhi in year 2006. He is working with Khushi organization for uplift of the poor and destitute community in both rural and urban area. He has also many collections in India and abroad.
Hemant Rao was born in 1984, District Guna, Madhya Pradesh. He is a self taught artist. He working under the guidance of Mr.Yusuf, from Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal.His works is based on abstract in acrylic medium, he honoured by many awards like M.P. State award, Dhominal art gallery, Scholarship, New Delhi, South Center Zone, Nagpur, Lokmanya Tilak, Pune, Camel Art Foundation, Western professional award, Baroda, Indian Fine art Society, Amritsar. He had done his solo show in India habitat center, New Delhi in 2006 and participated in many group shows and camps. His private collection in Norway, Pakistan and so many private collections in India – Formar Chief Minister (M.P), Bharat Bhawan Graphic Studio, Bhopal, Art Critic shri prayag shukla, New Delhi, ITM College, Gwalior.
Harish Ojha, was born in 1984, district Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He got his profession Bachelor degree in Fine Art (Painting & Mural) from University of Allahabad. He always tries to communicate with that aspect of life through his paintings where he tries to create a fair like atmosphere with his form and colors. He got Annual Exhibition Award, University of Allahabad and got National Scholarship by Lakit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. He participated in so many Group shows and camps. His private collection in abroad in UK, USA and many private collections in India – Bharat Bhawan Bhopal, Archeological Department (M.P).
Md. Aloptogin was born in 1986, District Chapai Nawabganj, Bangladesh. He got first class 'Bachelor in Fine Art' degree in from University of Dhaka Institute of Fine art and Masters Degree in Fine art from Delhi College of Art, New Delhi. Md.Aloptogin’s works are predominantly figurative with a focus on reality of human life & there relationship. As an artist whose socio relationship seems to have been best realized in his paintings through figurative. His works reflect the social life of human been often emphasizing the ordinary man. He received best award in water color in ‘Yuva Mohotsava’ by Sahitya kala parshad, New Delhi, ‘Holbien award’ Asia Modern Art Exhibition, Japan, and seven more awards from Bangladesh. He had solo shows in India & Japan and participated so many Group shows and Camps in India and abroad.
Rajender Kumar was born in 1965, New Delhi. He got his professional, Bachelor and Master degree in fine art from Delhi College of Art. His works is based on abstract in acrylic medium, he received awards like 'Sahitya Kala Parishad', 1993, M.F.Hussain award, college of Art, 1995 and Bansi Primv prize by Dhomimal Art gallery, 1995. He participated in many Group Shows and Camps. His private collection in abroad – Germany, Chicago(USA) and many private collection in India – Bharat Bhawan (Bhopal), College of Art, New Delhi, Contemporary Art Collection Thalasemics.
Sultan Abbasi was born in 1973 in New Delhi. He did his Bachelor Degree in Art from JMI University, New Delhi and he did his professional Diploma with First division in Fine art from 'Shaker's Academy of Art', New Delhi in 1998. Sultan believes imagination is god’s gift to man and he believes that it is this that provokes him to create. Here is an Indian artist and curator who draw faces with different emotions and feelings through his art. Sultan’s career has spanned as Graphic Designer in an Electronic Media Company, Various stints as Creative Head in IT Company, as well as an Illustrator for the print media and of course he had his solo show and participated in several group shows. His works are part of Collections held by the Gallery Pioneer, Gallery Antah Rang, and many other collections in India &overseas.
