Collage, the multi-cuisine restaurant of Ista, is hosting Sosegado, a Goan Food Festival, from 14th to 23rd November. The decor and ambience of the restaurant has been done up according to the theme, and the restaurant staff will go Goan in floral attire and hats. Chef Wilson has been specially flown in from Goa to prepare the authentic spicy menu. Ognelo and Peter, musicians from Goa, will be performing live.
Traditional and popular Goan delicacies, like the Vindaloo, Sorpotels, Balchao and Caldine curry, will be set up at the Collage restaurant, and fresh fish flown from the Arabian Sea will be cooked live. There is also a Goan cocktail menu on offer, that uses 'fenni', a traditional drink made from the sap of the coconut tree. The soups include Caldo Verdo and Caldo Vermelho. On the main course, there is Goan Fish Curry, Fish Ambotik Shark, Mackerel Curry, Shark/Chicken/Lamb Xacuti, Chicken Cafreal/Peri Peri, Lamb/Pork Vindaloo, Pork Stew With Choris & Potato, Beef Chilli Fry, Pork Balchao, Prawn Peri Peri, Crab Curry/Xec Xec/Baked/Yellow Curry, Lobster Xec Xec or the Pomfret Curry.
At the live counters, you can choose from fresh seafood such as pomfrets, king fish, tuna, snapper, sea bass, prawns, crabs, mussels, squids, clams, shark or mackrel, and get them fried or barbequed, and ask the chef to marinate your choice with peri peri, cafreal, garlic/curry/peri peri, xec xec or tamarind.
