Even 40 years of cultural grooming by Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha could not tame the wild side of Hyderabad. They are still crazy about ghazals.
Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha along with Vishwasahiti Social organisation are conducting a Ghazhal Night for all ghazhal lovers. This night is on the occasion of completion of 40 years of the Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha's contribution to the cultural fraternity of Hyderabad.
The internationally reputed ghazal maestro Srinivas is here to entertain the ghazhal fanatics tonight. He has also been chosen for the Pothukuchi Vamsa Puraskar given by the Vishwasahiti Organisation. The Minister for the Welfare of Backward Classes Capt. V Lakshmi Kant Rao will present the puraskar to Srinivas. Among the other dignitaries are Commissioner of Police R P Singh, the President of Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha V Dikshitulu, retired producer of All India Radio C Bhaskar Rao and doctor Sudha Kishore. A minimum of 1,000 people are expected to attend this function.
