Ragajhari and Madhulika, two cultural associations of Hyderabad, are together felicitating renowned comedian and mimicry artiste Siva Reddy, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, this Thursday. The chief guest for the function is Assembly Speaker Suresh Reddy, and it will be presided over by Telugu Professor of University of Hyderabad, Acharya Sarat Jyotsna Rani.
The other guests invited are C C Reddy, Chairman of Visu International; Dr Rajasekhar, actor; Jeevita, actress and producer-director; Jupally Krishna Rao, MLA, Kollapur; Shaikh Hussain, MLC, Kadapa; and other personalities from the Telugu cine industry.
On this occasion, there will be a grand musical nite by amateur singers Sudharani, Sindhuja, Vandana, and Sye Challenge Singing Competition singers Geeta Madhuri, Krishna Chaitanya, Raghuram and Sashi Kiran.
Hailing from an agriculture family in Ramagundam, Siva Reddy was the 5th son in a family of 6 boys and 2 girls. Since childhood, Siva was very interested in songs and dances, and used to perform regularly at school cultural programs. He used to imitate his teachers and principal, and everybody used to appreciate him.
He got his first opportunity on the big screen in a movie titled Pittala Dora, and thereafter acted in many movies like Bachelors, Amma Kosam, Anandam, Avunu Vallu Iddaru Istapaddaru, Manasantha Nuvve, Athade Oka Sainyam, Vasantham, Naaga, Nenunnanu and Stalin. He was felicitated with a Swarna Kankanam by none other than the Megastar Chiranjeevi for completing his 2,000th performance.
