Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad is presenting an expert talk on the subject of Esperanto, Language-Politics and Linguistic Human Rights, by Dr. A Giridhar Rao, on 11th December, at the association's office premises in Hermitage Complex, Opp. Legislative Assembly.

Giridhar Rao has a doctorate in English from the University of Hyderabad where he is a guest faculty member. His dissertation on science fiction (1994) led him to the emancipatory possibilities of Esperanto. He teaches Esperanto, and is currently translating Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography into Esperanto. As General Secretary of the Indian Esperanto Federation, he is organizing the 5th Asian Esperanto Congress in Bangalore in February 2008.
