REVIEW FOR EVERYTHING'S FINE LET US LEAVE - A FRENCH FILM
The beaumonde want their classy movies so they can be impressive at wine-party banter. And the highbrowed turn up their nose at the masala movies anyway. For both these classes, and all those in between, who are simply looking for a genuinely moving jaunt into meaningful cinema, the Hyderabad Film Club has the much needed panacea.
This week, showing at Sarathi Studio, is a French film by the oftentime Cannes winner, director Claude Mourieras. "Tout Va Bien On S'en Va" means "Everything's Fine Let Us Leave", in english. The cast Miou-Miou, Sandrine Kiberlain and Natacha Regneir play three young women living in Lyon, separate from their father (Michel Piccoli) who has left them. Their lives are completely dependent on each other, and deeply interlinked, though they all believe otherwise. The steady turbulence of their life is set into complete confusion when the father returns back to them after 15 years of disappearance. His destructive love for the family, and the girls' befuddlement shapes the main part of this story.
The screening is only open to members of the Film Club.
