Green Park is taking you on a journey to the land where recipes were more precious than gold. Master Chef Abdul Haleem Qureshi is whipping up some Awadhi recipes as part of the Lucknowi food festival at Once Upon A Time, the Indian restaurant at Green Park. The buffet is available for dinner, at 7:30pm, and is priced at Rs. 399.
"Ek Shaam Awadh ke Naam” comes from Awadh (Lucknow), and brings you a legacy with a cuisine famous for its Nafaasat and Nazaakat, which is achieved through a magical blend of spices and slow fire cooking. Authentic Nawabi food lovers can feast on an unlimited array of lip-smacking starters, including authentic Galawti Kebab, Nukti Kebab and Barra Kebab; soup specialities like Jahangiri Shorba and Sultani Shorba; and for the main course, Nalli Nehari, Murg Awadhi Korma, Subz Haleem, Awadhi Paneer, Yakhni Biryani, Chilman Biryani and the Ulta tawa paratha. For the sweet tongue, desserts include Shahi Tukda, Lahsun ka Kheer, Sheer Korma and Lucknowi Zarda.
The speciality chef Abdul Haleem Kureshi, has been specially flown in from Lucknow. He has experimented with a whole list of delicacies best savoured amongst these cuisines and has practiced numerous times for total perfection. The ambience and the interiors will be done up Nawabi style, with ghazals being played all the while.
