The North-Indians are said to scoff at the thought of us eating Dosa. For our reply, we give them the stare, and go right back to eating. For breakfast, lunch and dinner. The best example for this would be the hordes of people lining up in front of Chutney's and Minerva. Like eating it as often as possible was not enough, we have Dosa festivals. The main attraction here will be - more Dosas.
At the Country Club, the Dosa festival is going to offer a variety of Dosas for your taste buds to pick and choose from. Featured will be vegetarian and non-vegetarian Dosas.
In the vegetarian category there are Plain Dosas, Masala Dosas, Rava Dosas, Onion Dosas, Pesarattus, Upma Pesarattus and Set Dosas. In the non-vegetarian category, they are serving Egg Dosas, Omelette Masala Dosas, Chicken Kheema Dosas and Mutton Kheema Dosas. The Set Dosas are served with either vegetarian khorma or chicken khorma. The dosas will be served with free sambar, coconut chutney and ginger chutney.
The vegetarian dosas are going to be priced approximately around Rs. 15, and the non-vegetarian are going to be around Rs. 25-30. The dosas are going to be cooked upon order in front of the customers themselves. What you see is what you eat, and for this purpose there is a counter set up that allows you to see the dosas being made.
The festival is open for dinner only, and non-members are given entry only if members have referred them. So go ahead and indulge in a comparatively easy food item. For the stomach and the pocket. What more can one ask for?
