Don't Be Chicken - That's the motto of the Necklace Road Fair, which promises to dispel any misinformed notion you might have of the perils of tucking into a tandoori murgh. The 'flu isn't here and there's nothing to worry about. Except maybe, for demonstrations by PETA. Talk about appetite suppressants.
Fifty bucks and you can enjoy unlimited quantities of every possible dish with chicken and egg, including our famous chicken biryani. The Poultry Federation and the Egg Coordination Committee, will watch benevolently as you stuff your face. Cautious nibblers do not a successful Chicken and Egg Mela make.
India, they assure us, has nothing to fear from its morning plate of scrambled. Our birds or their eggs have nothing to do with the epidemic that's making many a meat-eater in the sub-continent turn to the greens or the red. We are safe, people. So please confirm your solidarity by going to Necklace Road and eating for an education.
