REVIEW FOR CULTURAL PROGRAMS BY HANDICAPPED ARTISTS
See those dwarves and giants on the silver screen that make you laugh so hard but whose names you never note because they come much later on the title list? Two such brilliant guys are felicitated, along with a Hyderabadi with an enormous appetite for telling jokes.
Potti Veeriah is 45 years old, 2-1/2 glorious feet tall and has acted in more than 350 movies so far. He and his daughter will give you the jolllies with their short-skits before they are felicitated. Potti Veeriah will also release Ch. Venkata Ramana's latest book on magic - Pillala Kosam Indrajaalam, published by Saroja Rai Communications.
Ch. Venkata Ramana is a writer of children's books with over 60 titles to his name. He is also a magician and has been the editor of Jawahar Bala Sabha's children's publications for 18 years. It seems that he has two avocations that go perfectly in hand with each other. He has organised over 6000 shows as a magician across India and is even known by the title of Magic Chaplin.
The second person who will be felicitated is Janny, a 6 footer who has tickles audiences in cinema for a great part of his 60 years now. He will also perform a mimicry program so you don't have a chance to get your defenses up after Potto Veeriah is done.
Shankar Narayana, the third artist has been in the Limca Book Of Records two times already. The first time was when he told jokes for 12 hours nonstop, and the next time was when he broke his own record with a 24 hour marathon. He has adopted over 200 haasya avataaras so far.
The event will begin at 1800 hrs on the 1st of April at Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha. Please contact Ch. Venkata Ramana at 92465-20050 for further details.
