As part of its 4th anniversary, Sri Shankham Arts is presenting a cultural festial on 2nd July at Thyagaraja Gana Sabha. The programme starts at 6pm.
The chief guest of the evening is Uday Mudgal, a singer and movie director. The evening features performances by the students of the foundation, including Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam recitals and a Carnatic vocal program. There will also be performances by winners in the competitions held during the institute's anniversary celebrations, followed by the prize distribution ceremony.
Sri Shankham Arts was founded in 2005 by Sudha Kishore, who is the president of the foundation. She is also the vice-president for the Lions Club in Hyderabad. The main aim of the foundation is to teach children between 5 to 15 years of age, Indian culture and arts, and to encourage talented kids who are under-priviliged.
The academy specialises in all forms of art, including Kuchipudi, Kathak and Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music, keyboard, and mimicry. The foundation provides help for students who cannot afford to nurture the talent in them, by giving them free training. The anniversary celebrations are held every year.
Entry is free for all. Please contact 94403-19544 for further details.
