It's a general belief that we never appreciate what we have. The grass is always
greener on the other side. It is the case is with tradition too. NRIs are now
more into traditional art forms than the people here. And when they're at it,
why not give them some encouragement by watching them perform? We don't want to
watch the stuff normally anyway.
Mr. Satyanarayana Charka is from the dance school East and West of USA. He'd be performing one of their most popular dances - Kathak Fusion. This will be followed by a Bharatnatyam rendition by Ms. Meenakshi from Singapore.
There's no music more exhilarating than our folk music. To liven the place up, with some raw and peppy folk will be Mr. Seenu, who'd be playing the mass-pull 'Dappulu.' The jolly mood continues with the Essannad and party, doing the hugely popular 'Chakka Bhajana.' And if you're not into all these, you have a zillion stores there anyways.
So, looks like Shiparama is the place to be this evening. Half the town will surely be there. Come over to enjoy the crowds, if the rest is not your cup of tea.
