Every year there is this annual ritual at the People's Plaza that has the population of the city checking out some really exquisite stuff. So much of variety - colors, shapes, origins. But even better than this ritual of ogling at good-looking people, is their annual Crafts Bazaar.
Lasting for almost a month, this Mela is supposed to bring to the city what Shilparamam offers at a distance that is not too convenient. The AP Handicrafts Development Corporation brings the best of the crafts and arts to the center of the town.
The bazaar will have metal ware, bidri, woodcarvings, stone carvings, fibre products, tribal crafts, jewelry, filigree works, cane furniture, bamboo furniture and other crafts. The bazaar also has a lot of beautiful handloom saris and dress material.
The Bazaar is on for only a week or so now, so hurry-up if you want to catch the good ones. Please contact 2345-2492 for further details.
