Blame it on those errant genes but when prima donna Chintamani calls, you've got to go. Check her out tonite.
On the occasion of Jallapudi Narayana Rao's 135th birthday, the Annamayya Kala Peetham is presenting a play written by him. Chintamani is the story of a girl called Chintamani, who follows a life of abandonment. Chintamani and her sister Chitra entice men with their beauty and strip them of their wealth. Subbisetty is a rich trader who falls for Chintamani and loses everything he had toiled for. The play ends with Chintamani realizing her fault and choosing the way of bhakti.
This play is being enacted by Srihari Kutumba Rao and other artists of the Annamayya Kala Peetham.
