Cool off this summer with the grooviest creations in ceramics, as the potter's wheel glazes out poetry from a dab of earth.
Minaaz Art Gallery is hosting an exhibition of ceramics created by artists Arti Vir, Mukta Dey and Swapan. On display are some early works of Arti Vir, who trained in Pondichery under well-known ceramic artist Renika. Aarti specializes in the rare technique of using common salt for glazing her creations. Mukta Dey and Swapan, trained artists from Kolkata, use oxide glazes in shades of blue and deep gray to embellish the pottery.
The exhibition has a wide variety of ceramics including cups, dishes, bowls and decorative artifacts, ranging from Rs. 50 to Rs. 3000.
