As the great Balamurli Krishna enters his 75th year, it provides us with the perfect opportunity to celebrate his genius. Not just a flute exponent, he is equally nimble with the violin, viola, mridangam and the kanjira. He makes for a wonderful blend of classicist and innovator, and he is the fifth in line of dirct disciples of saint-composer Thyagaraja.
