The Central Board of Secondary Education is conducting the CBSE Heritage India Quiz 2010 across 500 schools all over the country, during the month of August 2010. This quiz is one of the enrichment activities initiated by the Board, with the objective of inculcating interest and appreciation for the rich heritage and diversity of our country, among students.
In Hyderabad, it will be held on the 28th of August at 14 different schools, as under:

Teams will be identified based on their performance in the first round of the written preliminary quiz to be conducted in August 2010. Each school will be represented by a team of 3 members, who may be selected from classes IX to XII.
The written preliminary round will consist of multiple choice type questions, scoring of which will be done using OMR sheets. The cumulative score of the team members will be the score of the team.
The teams qualifying in the preliminary round will participate in the Zonal Rounds to be conducted in September 2010. The teams qualifying in the Zonal Rounds will in turn participate in the National Rounds, which will comprise the pre-finals. The main finals or the National Final will be among the victorious teams of the pre-finals. Besides being felicitated with certificates, winners also get to take home attractive prizes and trophies.
The registration fee for participating in the quiz is Rs. 600 per team. Second class rail fare, including reservation charges for 3 students and one school escort, will be reimbursed to those who participate in the National Round. Please contact any of the schools for further details.
