At 21, Saradhi is a winner of more than 60 prizes. And when you see him perform tonite, you'll agree with several others that that does no justice to his talent.
As part of its weekly classical music programs, Shilparamam is presenting a devotional vocal concert by M Narendra Saradhi this Sunday. Saradhi will be accompanied by M V Subrahmanya Prasad on the mridangam and Sashibhushan Rao on the violin.
Saradhi will start with Tulasivanam's Bhaja Manasa in Bahudari ragam, followed by some Annamacharya keertanas - Kondalalo Nelakonna in Hindola ragam, Podagantimaiah in Mohana, Brahmamu Kadigina Padamu in Mukhari and Bhavayami in Yamuna Kalyani ragam. He will also sing Sadashiva Brahmendra's Pibare Rama Rasam in Chakravakam, Saint Ramadasa's Bhajare Manasa Ramam in Bhageshwari, a Tulsidas's bhajan Patita Pavana in Abheri and Vadi Raja's Govinda Gopala in Sindhu Bhairavi ragas.
Muppavarapu Narendra Saradhi is a 21-year-old upcoming talented singer, pursuing his M A in English from Osmania University. He is a disciple of Dr. Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana for Carnatic vocal, and of Mulagaleti Gopala Krishna for light music. He has completed a Diploma In Carnatic Music And Light Music from the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, with distinction.
He has performed for the Annamacharya Bhaavana Vahini, the Department of Culture, Sri Rama Gana Sabha (Chennai) and the Yuvavani program of the All-India Radio, and has won more than 60 prizes from various cultural organisations like SICA, Kalasagaram, Navya Nataka Samithi, Lions Club, Sai Baba Seva Samithi, S S Music Academy and Sri Thyagaraya Sangeetha Vidyalayam. He is a recipient of the Centre For Cultural Resources And Training (CCRT) scholarship from the Government of India.
