REVIEW FOR CARNATIC VOCAL RECITAL BY KOMUNDURI SESHADRI
The Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika is a small hall. This evening, however, its stature will be significantly enhanced. For, Sangeeta Ksheerasagaram, as part of its monthly program of classical music, in the Uppalapati Ankaiah Memorial Concerts series, is organising a Carnatic vocal recital by Komanduri Seshadri in this mini-hall of the Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha.
Seshadri is a pure traditionalist from a Vainika family. He is a masters in music from Mysore University. He learnt music initially from the famous Vainika Vidwan and his father, K Ananthacharyulu, and thereafter under his uncle, Vainika Vidwan K Tirumalacharyulu. He is a performing A-grade artist for veena, violin, viola and vocals in AIR and Doordarshan. He has won several prizes in his career, and has performed all over India and the world. He is connected with many universities and music sabhas too.
