REVIEW FOR CARNATIC VOCAL CONCERT BY HYDERABAD BROTHERS
The Hyderabad Brothers need no introduction, definitely not in Hyderabad. But for the neophytes in music, here is a brief one: D. Seshachari and D. Raghavachari are singers of immense distinction and popularity in Carnatic music, while remaining strict purists. They are known for their clear diction, that brings out the Sahitya Bhaava of the song. Awards have of course followed with uncountable rapidity, whether from the Sangeeta Natak Academy or The Musical Academy at Madras.
They are often considered to have filled the void left behind by the Alathur brothers. While Seshachari has a bass voice which he uses with greater vigor, Raghavachari has a softer voice which he uses more quietly.
For more dope, it is best to watch the concert scheduled at 1730 hrs at the Ravindra Bharati grounds on the 5th of January.
