REVIEW FOR CARNATIC VOCAL CONCERT BY DR IYER RANGANATHAN

Kalasagaram, a cultural association based in Secunderabad, is organizing its monthly program of Carnatic vocal by Dr Iyer Ranganathan tonite at its premises.
Dr Ranganathan is a senior consultant in Micro-Biology and infectious diseases at Global Hospitals, Hyderabad. He received training in vocal skills from T S Kaveri, and is a highly appreciated artiste of Swati Tirunal Compositions. He has also won the 1st prize in the compositions conducted by Swati Tirunal Kalakshetra of Mumbai.
Kalasagaram is a South-Indian cultural association situated in East Nehru Nagar of East Marredpally, and has been organising Carnatic music concerts for more than 15 years. The concerts are always held in the Keyes High School campus in the open-air theater. The singers are generally from outside Hyderabad, usually amateurs and upcoming artistes, and are quite competent. They also occasionally stage South-Indian classical dances and Tamil plays.
Dr Ranganathan will be accompanied by M V N Prasad on the violin and P Srinivas Gopalan on the mridangam.
