Nada Bharathi is conducting a Sampradaya Trinity Music Festival (A special Ragam Tanam Pallavi festival series) at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini-hall of the Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, Chikkadpally. This event will last 6 days starting from 16th June till 21st June.
Komanduri Seshadri is performing a Carnatic vocal recital on the fourth day, in memory of Komanduri Anantha Charyulu. He will be supported by B S Narayanan on the violin, Aravind on the mridangam and B Janardhan on the ghatam.
Seshadri is a pure traditionalist from a Vainika family. He has a Masters in Music from Mysore University. He learnt music initially from the famous Vainika Vidwan, his father K Ananthacharyulu, and thereafter from his uncle, Vainika Vidwan K Tirumalacharyulu. He is a performing A-grade artist for veena, violin, viola and vocals in AIR and Doordarshan. He has won several prizes in his career, and has performed all over India and the world. He is connected with many universities and music sabhas too.
Nada Bharathi was started in 2000 by a renowned mridangist, Yuva Sangeeta Bharathi Paravastu Srinivas Gopalan, who hails from a family of classical musicians. The basic objective of the organisation is to preserve, promote and propagate all forms of classical music, by increasing awareness through regular concerts.
Since its inception, it has conducted more than 500 concerts, concentrating not only on Carnatic music but also on Hindustani. The organisation has held musical concerts of renowned vocalists, violinists, mridangists, flautists and vainikas.
