This Sunday, Shilparamam is presenting a Carnatic vocal recital by Dr. Seshulatha Vishwanath. Accompanied by M Sudha Swamy on the violin and Srinivas on the mridangam, Dr. Seshulatha will start the recital with a Mahaganapathim in Naata ragam, followed by Adi Choodare in Mohana ragam, Sringara Murthy in Khamas ragam, Adinamma Harudu in Swaraj, Bho Shambo in Revathy, Paluke Bangaramayena in Ananda Bhairavi, and a couple of other kritis.
Dr. Seshulatha is a B-High grade artiste of the All-India Radio, and a disciple of Oleti Venkateswarlu. She has completed her Ph D in music under Dr. Sripada Pinakapani, an outstanding vocalist. She has also done Sangeetha Alankar from the Gandharva University and Sangeetha Vidhwan from the Madras University.
She has performed in most of the venues in India, and has also been to USA, UK, Malaysia and Singapore. She rendered her voice along with Nedunuri Krishna Murthy for the latter's audio cassettes, and has composed music for Dr. Shobha Naidu's dance ballets. Currently, she is a music professor at the Telugu University, Hyderabad. She provides coaching and trains students for music diploma courses, at her residence in Ameerpet.
