Hyderabad Film Club, in collaboration with the Culture House Of The Islamic Republic Of Iran (Mumbai), and Consulate General Of The Islamic Republic Of Iran (Hyderabad), is presenting the screening of Iranian film, Candle In The Wind.
The film is about three young men who face numerous social and cultural challenges during their lifetime. They suffer unwanted anxieties, and even depression, due to their families and their contemporary society.
Director Pouran Derakhshandeh graduated from IRIB School Of Cinema, and started working in television as a documentary filmmaker in 1973. She became Iran's first woman filmmaker when she made Mute Contact in 1986. Subsequently she has made five other films and has won several international awards.
