A galaxy of Telugu writing luminaries is descending tonite to honor Alaparti's latest. Nostalgia or novelty value, this is an evening for anyone who stopped Telugu with Class X.
Aradhana Cultural Association, in association with Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, is releasing two books written by Alaparti Ramakrishna, on 17th November, at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, the mini-hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. A devotional musical program, Ramabhakti Samrajyam, comprising of songs on Lord Rama, will first be performed by C Krishna Kumari and group, and this will be followed by the book release.
Two books, Manchi Gandham and Ayinavallu, both written by Alaparti Ramakrishna, will be released. The chief guest for the evening is renowned writer Dr Vasireddy Seetadevi, and the event will be presided over by another writing luminary, Dr Ravoori Bharadwaj. The sabha will be inaugurated by Dr K V Krishna Kumari, a novelist. Dr Dwana Sastry, a famous literary writer, will present the first book, Manchi Gandham, while novelist Sailaja Mitra will present the second, Ayinavallu.
Alaparti Ramakrishna is a native of Ponnur, near Tenali. He worked as a UDC at the State Secretariat, and after retirement from service, has dedicated himself to writing novels and stories. He has recently completed a bunch of stories, namely Alaparti Kathala Samputi, which was released last month, again by Aradhana. He writes stories mostly focusing on human relationships and sentiments.
