Are you an avid reader of Bapu-Ramana works? Then this is one event you will not want to miss. Chaitanya Art Theatres is organising the book release of Kothi Kommachi, the latest treat from Mullapudi Venkata Ramana at Ravindra Bharathi, on 30th June, at 6:30pm.
Mullapudi Venkata Ramana (born 1931) is a Telugu story writer, known for his hilarious style of writing. He has also written screenplay, story and dialogues for many movies under the Bapu-Ramana combination, including Saakshi (Bapu-Ramana's first movie), Panchadaara Chilaka, Muthyala Muggu, Gorantha Deepam, Manavuri Paandavulu, Rajadhi Raju, Pelli Pustakam, Mr. Pellam and Radha Gopalam. Having penned both heart-touching and rib-tickling dialogues, the Bapu-Ramana association has completed 60 years, and is still going strong.
Kothi Kommachi is a famous series in Swati, the weekly magazine. Bapu & Ramana were awarded the Govindaraju Sita Devi Sahitya Puraskar for their work, and the series is now being presented as a book, written by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana, with illustrations and photographs by Bapu.
The evening will feature a mimicry performance by Mimicry Srinivas, and songs from movies of Bapu-Ramana by singers Vinod Babu and Surekha Murthy. Vemuri Balaram (Editor of 'Swati').Also, 'Swati' Balaram, Dr. Varaprasad Reddy and Dr Vijaya Mohan Reddy will be felicitated by Bapu-Ramana,
