REVIEW FOR BLACK & WHITE - ABSTRACT PAINTINGS BY GOPAL NAYAK & SRIKANT DHUNDE
Immerse yourself in abstract art, at the Black and White paintings exhibition being held at the Shristi Art Gallery, from 29th August to 10th September. The paintings will be on view from 11am to 7pm.
The exhibition is a collection of 30 abstract paintings by artists Srikanth Dhunde and Gopal Nayak. The paintings are put on panels of 10, 8 and 6 feet, in oil and acrylic canvas. Inauguration of the paintings will be done on 29th August, at 6:30pm.
Srikanth Dhunde was born in 1966. He completed his BFA (Arts & Crafts) in Ceramics from Sir J J School of Art (Mumbai). Srikanth has participated in several group exhibitions, including those held at Art Plaza (Mumbai) and Bajaj Art Gallery (Mumbai) in 1994. Among his list of awards are those he received at Vivek Vardhini Educational Society’s Platinum Jubilee, All India Industrial Exhibition (Hyderabad) in 1987, and 33rd Maharashtra Rajya Kala Pradarshan (Ratnagir) in 1993.
Gopal Nayak was born in 1972, in Hyderabad. He completed his Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from JNTU (Hyderabad) in 1990-96, and his Masters in Communication from SN School of Fine Arts, Performing Arts & Communication, from the University of Hyderabad. He has participated in several group shows in India, and was also awarded a cash prize from the Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University on India's fiftieth Independence Day in the year 1997. Gopal lives and works in Hyderabad.
