Poonam Bhatia, a popular singer, has lots of hit songs to her credit that have mesmerized many, especially re-mixes. From a girl of a small-time town in Haryana to a playback singer in Bollywood, Poonam has come a long way. She was interested in music right from her childhood - her mother Devi Kapoori is a Sangeet Visharad. Her riyaz in the wee hours of morning used to make Poonam immensely happy and inspired her to learn Indian music.
Her initial training was at home under her mother. Poonam then took training in classical music from Madhusudan Timonthy, Pandit Satyanarayan Mishra and Hiran Kamat.
Poonam's voice has been recorded for sound projects by Tips, Sangeet Audio etc. She has done all genres of recording like bhajans, ghazals, and pop. She has worked with renowned music directors in Bollywood like A R Rahman for Taal (One Two Ka Four), Viju Shah for Hadh, Dundh - The Fog etc.
