Madhavi Sharma with her disciples is organising a dance ballet called Pancha Ramalu, on 10th April at Balaji temple, Alwal. The ballet will be performed by Madhavi Sharma, Dhanalakshmi, Lavanya, Bharathi, Tejaswini, Chennakesari, Maheshwari, Gowthami, Shikha, Samiksha, Nikita, Amulya, Rajni Priya, Rachana and others, and is about the five Shiva lingas that fell in five different places of Andhra Pradesh during the killing of the demon Tarakasura by Lord Subrahmanya.
The ballet starts with the Ksheerasagaram (churning of the milk ocean), followed by the killing of the asura by Lord Subrahmanya, and the importance of the five places called Pancha Ramams. The ballet will be supported by Chennakeswari on vocal, Madhavi Sharma with the nattuvangam, Nageshwara Rao on the mridangam, Sai on the violin, Nagoori Babu on the flute and Ramana on the ghatam, with compering by Lakshmi who is also the script writer.
Madhavi Sarma is a diploma holder in Bharatanatyam, and is a disciple of V S Ramamurthy. She has about 100 students learning Bharatanatyam and Western dances. Madhavi Sharma teaches Bharatanatyam, Lakshmi teaches vocals, and Balu and Kasi teach Western dances. Sharma is conducting these classes for the past 6 years, and has trained many students in the field of performing arts.
Bharatanatyam is taught free of cost. The students of Madhavi Sharma have performed at various venues of Hyderabad like Shilparamam, Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha and Ravindra Bharathi.
