REVIEW FOR BHAKTA RAMADASU - A ONE ACT PLAY BY TIRUPATI HARAGOPAL
This evening, Ramadasu's bhakti is all set to melt a few rocks.
The Dept. of Culture, in association with Sampradaya Kala Vybhavan Telugu Nataka Sorabham, is presenting a festival of stage-plays, Eka Patra Abhinayam. Bakta Ramadasu is a mono-act, to be staged on the 15th of this month, along with 2 other single-character plays, Annamayya and Srikrishanudu.
Bakta Ramadasu is being enacted by Tirupathi Haragopal, a noted artist from Nellore. Haragopal is famous for his portrayal of the character of Annamayya, which he has already played for over 500 times.
In Bakta Ramadasu, he plays the imprisoned poet, who bears all the hardships dished out by the then king of Golconda, Tanisha.
