One of the most renowned and well-known nightclubs in the city, Bottles and Chimney, turns 8 this February, and the anniversary celebrations will continue for 5 nights from 10th to 14th February. The 5-day gig features some of the best turntable gurus such as DJ Power, DJ Nikhil Chinnappa, DJ Suketu, DJ Piyush and also Tidal Wave, a band from Goa.
DJ Nikhil Chinappa will spin some funky house beats on the third day of the celebrations.
Chinappa, a popular VJ, has floored everybody with his music and dance jigs. He is quite a popular presenter among the viewers of MTV. He plays different genres of music, but underground music is his all-time favorite. He has also acted in 3 movies - Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana, Pyaar Kiya Nahin Jaata and Snip! - besides composing the music for 2 movies, Zinda and Chehraa. Of late, he has also been into DJing along with his fiancee DJ Pearl.
Nikhil now plays regularly at clubs and bars in Mumbai (Squeeze, Aurus, Red Light, Seijo), Pune (Lush), Chennai (Speed), Calcutta (Tantra, B.E.D), Delhi (Elevate, Capitol, Rick's), Bangalore (Fuga) and Hyderabad (10 Downing Street). Along with DJ Pearl, Nikhil is one of Smirnoff India's "residents", and freelances at other venues as well.
